"Low density projects can present the greatest challenges and opportunities for an architect. With common lot lines, varied side by side housing types and a desire for a shared community experience while maintaining privacy, this type of project often results in some of our most interesting design solutions." - Principal, Lisa Pendleton, AIA

As the projects shown here exemplify, GMP-LA strives to design its low density housing to mesh into its neighborhood. Features such as street fronting entry doors and porches, along with private yards and patios, are incorporated where possible into each design helping to create a strong neighborhood connection. Additional features such as private attached garages, even in cases where a common subterranean garage is the only solution, extra studio or work space for home offices and plenty of storage space are added benefits not often found in planned multi-family developments.

The firm's experience includes all forms of low density projects from Bel Air Crest a development of luxury single family homes ranging from 8,000 to 10,000 square feet, to Pacific Avenue Townhomes a contemporary beach fronting project of 2500 square foot, three story townhomes, to Palmdale Transit Townhomes a subsidized project incorporating attached and stacked unit types starting at 807 square feet up to 1600 square feet.
