"We never saw the project's limitations, we just transformed it into what it was meant to be," explains Donald Getman, AIA on the Penn Station commercial transformation project. "The response was instant within weeks of completing the project the client had Sony Playstation, actor Bruce Wilis' production company and Steelcase all signed up as tenants."

Penn Station highlighted here, is an example of GMP-LA’s reimagining skills. The existing building was predominantly a non-descript single user warehouse, devoid of natural light and ventilation, however the building Owner was looking to transform it into creative office spaces. The project was newly renovated to look old from seismic upgrades, intentionally left exposed, to new industrial styled window openings cut into existing masonry walls, everything was done to give the impression it had always been there.

The Principals at GMP Architects-LA have over 20 years experience in all facets of commercial architecture, including projects ranging from 400,000 square foot, 12 story office towers to 10,000 square foot retail buildings. The firm’s services include new construction as well as rehabilitation of existing structures.

As Lisa Pendleton, AIA states, "Our ability to personalize each commercial project is what sets us apart. Similar to our approach in residential design, we design each commercial project with the end user and the surrounding community in mind, resulting in a more successful project."
