GMP-LA had two projects included in the TOP summer sales of 2015 as reported by BISNOW National report for Los Angeles Real Estate News.

Our 58 unit Ashton Westwood (topping their list for price per door) sold for $63.5 million. This project designed and built to condo-specs sold for over $1 million per door, which according to Bisnow was among the highest pricing ever seen in Los Angeles.

Our Avant LA, a luxury seven-story, 247-unit project, was 4thon the list selling in June for $99 million to Essex Property Trust. “Located in the popular South Park district, the building is within easy walk of Staples Center and LA Live, and features a stunning rooftop amenity with amazing views of the downtown skyline and city lights” Bisnow’s reporter adds.

Now well under construction, the three 7 story buildings will bring over 400 rental units to the Los Angeles sports and entertainment area adjacent to the LA Convention Center.  Shown in the photo is AVANT with its framing topped out along with 1500 Figueroa's subterranean construction in the foreground.  GMP-LA's Donald Getman, AIA was the lead architect for the projects along with Senior Project Manager, Leon Jones.  Other GMP-LA team members included Sheila Foruzan, Sem Linetsky and Leah Pluger.
Palmdale Transit Village broke ground amid much fanfare.  The first project to be built as part of the Palmdale Tranportation Center Master Plan. Don Getman joined others who played a key role in getting this project off the ground for the ceremonial first shovel, including Palmdale's Mayor Jim Ledford and Palmdale Housing Manager, Mike Miller along with Matt Tambor of Community Development Associates and representatives from CITI Community Capital,  Raymond-James Tax Credit Funds and the Department of Housing and Community Development. The Los Angeles based newspaper "Downtown News" reported on the two new seven story towers coming to South Park. The article explains that the developer Century West, opted to proceed with the two mid-rise rental buildings by GMP Architects-LA over the formerly entitled high-rise condominium because they believed the appetite for apartment living in the area to be very strong making the mid-rise project a better project to meet the market needs. The developer paid $16 million for the two South Park parking lots and expects the development costs to be $95 million. The article goes on to describe the new project as including studio to two bedroom units ranging from $1,250 to $2,500 with 11,000 square feet of ground level retail and a 252 space garage, along with plans for a fitness center, lounge, roof deck, pool and theater room.

"The new Union Station Village in downtown Los Angeles will not only be close to commuter trains, it will be part of the iconic depot. The $35 million apartment project is being built in a parking lot previously used for terminal buses and taxis, and its residents will be steps from where regional public transportation entities such as Amtrak (train), MTA (bus), DASH (bus) and Metrolink (light rail) all converge." "The buildings were designed to enhance Union Station, but not take away or detract from the historic structure," Getman said. "It remains the icon on the site."
